Discoverers Program

Junior • 6 Weeks–11 Months-Old | Senior • 12–17 Months-Old

Welcome to the Discoverers Program at Belton Education Station, where the journey of exploration and learning begins for our infants and youngest students. This program is crafted to meet the developmental needs of children aged 6 weeks to 17 months, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and growth.

Our Approach

At Belton Education Station, we believe that every child is a natural-born explorer. Our Discoverers Program supports and guides our young students as they embark on their educational adventure. We employ a holistic approach that integrates the renowned Frog Street curriculum with the Nature Explore program, providing a rich, diverse learning experience in our childcare and preschool settings. We are proud to be NAEYC and Texas Rising Star (TRS) certified, reflecting our commitment to high-quality early childhood education.

Frog Street Curriculum

The Frog Street curriculum lies at the heart of our Discoverers Program, offering research-based, age-appropriate activities that stimulate cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development. Interactive play promotes problem-solving and critical thinking. Songs, rhymes, and stories enhance early literacy and communication skills. Sensory exploration and hands-on experiences help children understand the world through touch, sight, sound, and movement, and activities designed to improve both fine and gross motor skills support overall physical development.

Nature Explore

As a certified Nature Explore site, our program introduces babies to the wonders of the natural world in safe, age-appropriate ways. Our outdoor experiences provide a nurturing environment where infants can explore nature through sensory activities and gentle, guided play. These early experiences lay the groundwork for a lifelong appreciation of the outdoors, preparing children for more structured nature activities as they grow. Outdoor time includes opportunities for observing the natural environment, feeling different textures, and enjoying the fresh air, all of which contribute to physical and cognitive development.
