Our Curriculum
Our teaching methods are derived from the Texas Early Education Model(TEEM)/ E- Circle program. All lead teachers are trained in TEEM teaching methods, and attend weekly/monthly ECIRCLE trainings lead by BISD mentors.
B.E.S. uses High Reach curriculum in our infant through two year classes. These lead teachers are trained in Toddler T.E.E.M. methods.
Our three, fours, and five years classes use the Doors to Discovery curriculum.
It is our 4th year working with BISD and the TEEM/ECircle program! We are very proud of this accomplishment and our teacher's hard work and dedication to these programs.
What is TEEM and ECircle?
These programs involve specific teacher training in classroom teaching methods, room centers set up, lesson planning, and child assessments. All of our 3.5 to 5 years old children are assessed throughout the school year. Their assessments are sent to the University of Texas Health Science Center for evaluation. The goal of the program is to get children prepared for kindergarten. After evaluation, centers are granted a certification called "Texas School Ready." This certification is based on children having tested at acceptable levels, and teacher proven competencies.
